Horror films have always been money-makers. The overwhelming majority of horror films end up making anywhere from 10 to 100 times their budgets. With this in mind, investments in horror films can reap investors large profits and are known to be very low risk.

 

 

Film industry experts have always maintained that horror films are the bread and butter of leading Hollywood studios like Lionsgate, which released Saw in 2004 and watched it become a mega-hit grossing no less than a $100M inspiring 6 sequels, all high grossing.  Many other examples abound and can easily be googled.
